Abraham Stoker, widely known as Bram Stoker (1847-1912), was an Irish writer.

He was also a manager and personal assistant of the actor, Sir Henry Irving.

One of Stoker’s most popular works is the Gothic horror novel, Dracula and whilst he wrote twelve novels in total, none of them could match the success of Dracula.

He was also friends with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, William Butler Yeats and Oscar Wilde, the latter friendship being significant due to the fight between the two men over Florence Balcome, Stoker’s wife.
