The Land of Literature

a white London map in a circular form on a black background

London is well known as one of the most important capitals of the World. Over the centuries, London has been the centre of art, culture, literature and social life and it seems this hasn’t changed a bit. Many throughout history have been attracted to this magical city and wanted to be a part of it; this attraction still continues today.

Among those people, there were many famous authors, poets, short story writers and playwrights. London has a tradition of remembering people who were part of it and contributed to its history. You can understand this better when you wander the streets of London: statues, plaques, memorials and places that we encounter, remind us of how intertwined London is with literature. We can easily say that literature has run into the veins of London.

At Writer’s Path, our aim is to remember and rekindle London's

connections with literature. Following our trips and research, we add places related to literature to our customised Writer's Path map so you can find the best routes between them. We know that many more authors and locations will be added on this path and hope you can also take part and offer locations that you want to see on our map.

We would be more than happy to help you find the locations you are looking for. You can also check out our literary gift shop.

We hope you enjoy the literary side of London with Writer’s Path.
